RESOURCES

Session 8: REPORTING

For companies that are trying to attract capital from investors, especially impact and gender-lens investors, reporting is essential for them to determine whether the company meets their investment criteria. In general, companies need to ensure they are providing value-added reports to the relevant stakeholders and/or shareholders. We talk about the different stakeholders that CEOs are responsible for reporting to. We then break down the reporting cycle, and how to develop and use reports to make better decisions about the company. We provide reporting tools and frameworks. We also provide tools and common metrics and KPIs that executives should capture. This session is a valuable lead into the sessions on finance, as it gets executives thinking about the important role quantitative data plays in decision making, fundraising and management.
